Bayelsa United survived a second defeat in a row as they fought back to force Kano Pillars to a 1-1 draw in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season week 2 fixture played on Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
In Sunday’s match, Kano Pillars took the lead in the 40th minute through attacking winger Auwalu Ali Malam. Bayelsa United fought back to draw level in the 59th minute with Rabiu Abdullahi scoring his first goal of the season for the home side.

Yesterday’s game has however elevated Pillars to second on the table with four points, two points less than first placed Remo Stars who have won two out of two matches played so far.
