Soto Gallery successfully concluded the second edition of the +234 Art Fair, held from March 26–31 at Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Themed “Championing Patronage in Nigerian Art,” The fair was supported by Ecobank Nigeria, African Finance Corporation, AFC, and Craneburg Construction.
Founder Tola Akerele revealed that over 1,000 artists applied, with 160 selected. The fair aimed to provide mentorship, financial support, and exhibition space for emerging Nigerian artists.

A highlight this year was the debut of the “Children’s Gallery”, featuring 24 paintings, including works by 12-year-old Olujimi Oni.
The exhibition covered Digital, Photography, 3D Sculpture, 2D Fine Arts, and Traditional Art.
Attendees on the final day included film actor Wale Ojo and digital artist Joshua of Wavy Creations, who praised the innovative use of everyday materials in the artworks. Mr Joshua explained that the exhibition showcased the power of art to connect people across cultures and backgrounds.
Among the works exhibited were Yeye Osun by Hammed Bello, The Fashionista by Ibrahim Afegbua, Death Race by Alvin Nmalabuluchukwu Betzalel and many more.
