Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, has apologised to the public following renewed controversy involving him and his wife, Natasha Osawaru. The dispute intensified after two of his former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Osawaru during a live stream of attempting to take full control of his finances and career.
2Baba interrupted the broadcast to warn them against discussing his private life, but a loud off-camera argument between him and Natasha later forced the stream to end abruptly. The situation escalated further when members of his family filed a petition to the inspector-general of police accusing Osawaru of assault, bigamy and withholding his personal documents.
The singer rejected his family’s allegations, saying their attempts to intervene are damaging his life and unfairly portraying Natasha. He also said his wife has received death threats, which he linked to the growing public scrutiny of their marriage.
