Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face, has named Burna Boy as the country’s leading artist. Speaking in an interview, he described the Grammy winner as the “senior” figure among Nigeria’s current crop of performers.

2Face explained that while he admires other artists, Burna Boy stands out as his personal number one, noting the singer’s global reach and dominance in the industry. He added that several younger acts are showing signs of rising to similar heights.
The recognition further cements Burna Boy’s status as a driving force in African music. Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido are widely regarded as the ‘Big 3’ of the Afrobeats genre.
