Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested 33 security personnel, including 18 serving soldiers and 15 police officers, over allegations of arms sales to terrorists and other criminal elements.

The arrests followed the launch of Operation Snowball in August 2024, targeting ammunition racketeering across the North-East. The Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, made this known through Major Ademola Owolana at a media briefing in Maiduguri.
