A faculty President at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, Professor Akinsanya Osibogun, says over 50 percent of graduate doctors are outside the country.
Professor Osibogun said this at the 17th annual scientific conference and all fellows’ congress (ASCAF) in Ilọrin, Kwara State.

The Professor who is President of the faculty of public health and community medicine, attributed the situation to strikes and other issues.
He cautioned that Nigeria needs doctors for training to become specialists and remain in the country.
