Covid 19 Updates: China Reverses Quarantine Requirement For Foreign Travellers

China is ending its requirement for foreign travellers arriving at its border to go into quarantine. The measure, which was part of its zero-Covid policy, will end on 8 January.

In recent weeks, the Chinese Government has been rolling back what has been considered some of the most stringent covid measures, leading to a spike in Covid-related infections in the country.

The BBC reports that local medical workers say they are struggling to cope.

The new rules to be implemented in managing Covid 19, will see the disease downgraded from a Class A infectious disease to Class B, meaning that quarantine will no longer be enforced.
