Sudan: Azman Air Receives FG’s Approval To Evacuate Stranded Nigerians

Azman Air, a Nigerian airline, has received approval from the Federal Government of Nigeria to evacuate stranded Nigerian citizens in Sudan.

According to a statement on the airline’s official instagram handle, the evacuation will begin today.

The statement adds that pending final clearance from the Egyptian government, the evacuation will be carried out with the airline’s 409-Seater Airbus A340-600.

Recall that Air Peace had also indicated interest to evacuate Nigerians who were stranded in Sudan free of charge amidst the escalating fight in the country.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Office of the Air Peace, Allen Onyema, reiterated this in a statement on Monday.

According to Mr. Onyema, Nigerian students and others stranded in the war-racked nation have urgent needs for the company’s help.
