A convoy of US Embassy officials has been attacked in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The incident occurred along Atani, Osamale road in Ogbaru LGA around 3:30pm.
Speaking about the attack, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State, says two policemen and two officials of the US Consulate were murdered.

The police PRO says Joint Security Forces have embarked on a rescue/recovery operation in the area.
The murderers fled upon sighting the police, abducting two police officers and a driver in the process.Â
No US citizen was in the convoy.
