The Super Eagles have qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with one game to spare.
The three-time African champions secured their place in the continental competition billed for Ivory Coast next year, after defeating Sierra Leone 3-2 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia, yesterday evening.

A stoppage-time goal from Kelechi Iheanacho was the most important goal in a match where the Super Eagles surrendered a two-goal lead.
The Eagles lead their group with 12 points from five games, followed by Guinea-Bissau with 10 points.
