The Nigerian mission in Libya has secured the release of 40 Nigerians from the Bir Al-Ghanam detention facility in Libya.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Kabiru Musa, charge d’affaires of the Nigerian mission in Libya, said in a statement that they were detained for immigration offenses.

Musa said he admonished them to return home and to refrain from irregular migration.
He also disclosed that they will continue to be catered for until they are repatriated.
