Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has rolled out palliatives to cushion the impact of subsidy removal, including a 50 per cent reduction in the transportation fares of state-owned buses.
The Governor announced this in a media briefing yesterday, adding that the state has also put modalities for commercial buses better known as “Danfo” to reduce their fares by 25 per cent.

According to him, the commercial drivers’ unions are to officially announce the reduction of fares.
The governor also rolled out other palliatives such as more buses for Lagos civil servants and food distribution to the poor through the Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
