Agege Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State on Tuesday, announced a reduction of its working days from five to three to help ameliorate the economic hardship faced by workers.
The Council Chairman, Ganiyu Egunjobi, said the decision was taken to reduce the amount of money spent on transportation daily.

The council also lowered levies paid by traders and residents of the area.
Mr Egunjobi also added that staff in departments of Health and Environment, who are expected to be in office on usual days, are exempted from the new development.
