The State Government has clarified that the General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) was not suspended over the elevator tragedy which took the life of Dr Vwaere Diaso at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Odan.
Following the death of Dr. Diaso, various newsrooms had reported that LASIMRA GM, Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote had been suspended.
A statement issued yesterday says LASIMRA is not involved in the management of government facilities and its GM was never suspended.

The agency says its mandate is to establish standards and procedures for constructing lines and laying of cables and pipes across public lands and properties.
LASIMRA also ensures public safety in the use of Public Rights of Way by all utilities such as Telecommunications, Gas and Power infrastructure owners.
