Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Tope Ajayi, says there are no plans to reintroduce fuel subsidy.
Mr. Ajayi’s comment followed speculation about a temporary reintroduction of fuel subsidy due to the increase in the landing cost of fuel triggered by the free fall of the Naira in the parallel market.

According to Mr Ajayi, President Tinubu is convinced that the country can maintain current pricing without reversing the deregulation policy.
Nigeria continues to grapple with the soaring costs of goods and services due to the removal of the subsidy on petrol and the Central Bank’s unification of the naira.
