Police in Rivers State have arrested 12 suspected internet fraudsters accused of burying a newborn baby alive at Andoni Waterfront, Eagle Island in Port Harcourt.
The arrest was carried out in collaboration with PHALGA Security Watch and the State Neighbourhood Watch.
The Chairman of PHALGA Security Watch, Mr Victor Ohaji, who doubles as the Chief Security Officer of Eagle Island, says his men responded to intelligence that some internet fraudsters were performing at the waterfront yesterday.Â

Upon their arrival, the boys had left, but a closer observation of the area led to the discovery of the buried child.
PHALGA alerted the police and other security agencies, and a joint team tracked and apprehended 12 suspects who were taken to Azikiwe Police Division in Port Harcourt for further processing.
