Osun State polytechnic, Iree has been closed by the State’s government for two weeks.
The State’s government also froze the school accounts with immediate effect.
This closure follows the resumption of the suspended rector of the institution, Dr Tajudeen Odetayo who recently secured her an interim injunction to stay the execution of his suspension pending the determination of the matter before court.

The closure and freezing of the institution’s account was contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Dipo Eluwole.
The release noted that the action was necessary in order to maintain peace in the Institution consequent upon the return of the suspended rector.
