Health Minister Harps On Improved Service Delivery In Sector’s Four Point Agenda

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Ali Pate has disclosed that non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are becoming more prevalent as a result of ageing and changes in the lifestyle of people.

NCD also known as chronic diseases and are not passed from person to person. They are cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes. 

Prof Pate said Nigeria is going through multiple transitions all at once, and the structure of population is changing gradually giving rise to epidemiological transition.

While addressing the sector’s four point agenda, the Minister said there is a scope for significant improvement in the health sector.

That was Prof Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare speaking on the ministry’s four point agenda.
