Super Eagles Striker Orban Gets 2-Match Ban, €1,500 Fine For Violent Conduct

Super Eagles and KAA Gent striker Gift Orban has been handed a two-game ban and a €1,500 fine for violent conduct.

Gent confirmed Orban’s suspension and fine on their X handle (formerly Twitter). The 21-year-old was shown a straight red card in the 44th minute after a violent conduct towards a player from Eupen on Sunday. Prior to his sending off, Gent was 1-0 down but went on to record a 2-1 win.

Orban has scored two goals in six games in the Belgian league this season.

Despite joining Gent on loan in January, he scored 15 goals in 16 league appearances.
