Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), has given reason for the return of fuel queues in parts of the country.
Mr. Kyari told state house correspondents that the queues were caused by the return of road blockades causing drivers to travel longer distances to avoid such experiences.
Queues resurfaced across filling stations last week, leading to speculations that there were plans to increase pump price.

However, Mr Kyari assured that petrol supply is robust, with over 1.4 billion litres of product currently available.
He also said that the Federal Government is working hard to ensure supply of foreign exchange into the market to stabilise the current I&E window around the N770 mark.
