Lagos Seals Ajah Market Over Poor Waste Management

The Lagos State Government, yesterday, sealed Ajah Market over poor waste management.

In a tweet on X, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jubril Gawat, noted that the exercise was carried out by officials of the  Lagos State Waste Management Agency, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps and the Environmental Task Force.

He added that the exercise also involved the demolition of illegal structures. In a bid to ensure a safe and hygienic environment within the state, the government recently sealed some major markets, namely; the Agbado Oke-Odo Market, Mile 12 International Market, Owode Onirin Market,  Alaba Market and Alade Market in the Onigbongbo area of the state.
