Ammunition Shell, Not Bullet Hit Nollywood Actor, Azeez Ijaduade In Ogun Says Police

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Abiodun Alamutu, has condemned the shooting incident which involved a Nollywood actor in the state.

The commissioner reacted to the incident during his visit to the actor at Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Iperu Ikenne Local Government Area of the state, around 11 am yesterday.

Meanwhile, in an early reaction to the incident, the spokesperson of the state command, Omolola Odutola, confirming the incident, explained that a bullet shell hit the actor in the neck, not a live bullet.

Speaking in an interview with journalists, the police commissioner said the unnamed cop had fired a bullet into the air to disperse thugs who wanted to mob the personality he was attached to.

According to him, the officer who fired the shot is already facing disciplinary action.

CP Alamutu, who said the shooting was unfortunate and uncalled for, expressed joy that the actor is in a stable condition.
