One of the aspirants claiming victory in the All Progressives Congress primary election, Anamero Dekeri, says he has accepted the nomination to be the party’s gubernatorial candidate at the September 21 election.
In his acceptance speech on Sunday, he commended the stakeholders and urged other aspirants to join hands with him to improve the fortunes of the party and win the governorship election.
Mr. Anamero Dekeri was announced winner of the contest, having polled 25,384 votes, by the local government returning officers led by Ojo Babatunde.

Meanwhile, Party chieftains and stakeholders of the Edo chapter of the party are calling for the cancellation of Saturday’s governorship primary, which produced three winners.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who is also Chairman of the Primary Election Committee, announced Dennis Idahosa as the winner of the poll held at a Hotel in the state with 40,453 votes.
Mr. Stanley Ugboaja, the returning officer, also declared Monday Okpebholo winner with 12,145 at Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s residence.
