28 girls who were abducted by bandits on Monday while fetching firewood at the outskirts of Kasai village in Batsari LGA, Katsina State, have been rescued.
In a statement, the Katsina State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Sadiq Aliyu, said a joint task force team carried out the rescue, and the victims are safe and sound.

According to Officer Sadiq, the collaborative effort of the rescue team, in conjunction with the strategic approach taken by the command, resulted in the release of all the abducted victims.
