NSCDC Destroys Illegal Bunkering Sites In Abia

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has dismantled a bunkering site at Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.

In a statement, the NSCDC spokesperson, Mr. Babawale Afolabi, said the operatives also impounded 9,000 litres of AGO, also known as diesel, from oil thieves in the state.

He also the Corps got wind of oil bunkering activities taking place at Inhandu/Ikwariator Riverside in Ukwa East Local Government Area where the uninterrupted loading and transportation of AGO concealed in cellophane bags were ongoing

According to Mr. Afolabi, the operations were conducted by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad as part of its renewed onslaught against the activities of economic saboteurs.

He added that those involved in the illegal activities ran away on sighting the NSCDC operatives.
