The wife of the president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to the victims of the recent flood in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The announcement of the donation was made during a visit to Maiduguri to commiserate with Borno State government over the flood that affected over two million residents.

The First Lady was represented by the wife of the vice president, Nana Kashim Shettima, who led an entourage which included wives of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President, Lagos and Yobe state governors, wives of ministers and other presidential aides.
The delegation was received at the Government House by Governor Zulum, Borno State National Assembly members, Speaker of the State Assembly and other state executive council members.
