The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has allocated over $1.8 million to support flood victims across Nigeria.
This funding will enable both local and international NGOs to deliver critical humanitarian assistance to over 180,000 people affected by the floods in Borno, Benue, Adamawa, and Yobe States.
IOM’s Chief of Mission in Nigeria, Paola Pace, emphasized the severe impact of the floods, which have displaced families and devastated communities, and underscored the organization’s commitment to providing immediate relief and essential services to help rebuild lives.

The response, channelled through the Rapid Response Fund will include shelter, non-food items, multipurpose cash assistance, protection and water, sanitation, and hygiene services to alleviate their immediate suffering and facilitate their timely recovery.
