The Federal Government has unveiled a new bill seeking to impose a 5% excise duty on telecommunications, gaming, and betting services as part of its broader tax reform agenda.
The proposal, outlined in the “Nigeria Tax Act,” targets a range of services nationwide. If passed, the bill would see a 5% levy applied to telecommunications services, both postpaid and prepaid, under the regulation of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.
