Veteran Nollywood actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo or “Agbako,” has died at the age of 101. His death was confirmed by Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr. Latin, President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), who shared the news in an Instagram post.
Mr. Latin noted that details of Agbako’s burial arrangements would be announced at a later time.
Born on February 25, 1923, Agbako was a celebrated figure in the Yoruba film industry, known for his commanding presence and remarkable performances.
He gained fame for portraying fearless characters like villains, warriors, and chiefs, roles that made him a beloved and iconic figure in Nigerian cinema.
