Music titan Quincy Jones, renowned for producing some of Michael Jackson’s most iconic albums and collaborating with legends like Frank Sinatra and Count Basie, has passed away at the age of 91. His publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the news in a statement.

Mr. Jones was not only a jazz musician and composer but also a tastemaker whose studio expertise connected the musical stars of the 20th century.

Over a career spanning more than seven decades, he seamlessly navigated the evolving landscape of pop music, working across genres from jazz to hip-hop and often taking the lead in shaping the sound.

Born in 1933 on the south side of Chicago, Quincy Delight Jones Jr. discovered his talent for the piano at a local recreation center and formed a close friendship with fellow musician Ray Charles during his teenage years.
