Three Dead in Lagos Traffic Tragedy, Including Two Students

Tragedy struck Lagos on Monday as two separate road accidents claimed at least three lives, including two students.

In the first incident, a truck reportedly suffered brake failure at the Ayetoro traffic light in Epe, colliding with a commercial tricycle and a stationary Toyota Camry before veering off the road and crashing into the Ayetoro Market Complex. The crash led to the tragic deaths of the tricycle driver and two students from Manpower Technical School, Epe.

Meanwhile, in a second accident at Ijaye, near Abule-Egba, an LT bus and a Toyota Hiace bus, both reportedly with brake failures, were involved in a serious collision. Personnel from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, responded quickly, rescuing the driver and two passengers, who were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating both incidents amid growing concerns over road safety in Lagos.
