The National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, buzzed with activity as Anambra State residents in Lagos celebrated their annual Cultural Day. Representing Governor Charles Soludo, the Deputy Governor Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim commended the gathering, emphasizing the importance of unity and cultural pride for Anambra’s people and future generations.
Dr. Ibezim highlighted Governor Soludo’s achievements in education, road construction, employment, youth skills training, and social amenities, assuring the people of a safer, more developed Anambra. He urged them to think of home as a place to invest, describing Anambra as a “construction site” with projects underway in all 21 local government areas.
The event featured displays from 177 Anambra communities in Lagos, blessings from traditional rulers, and performances of cultural regalia. Various entertainment groups from Lagos also attended, adding vibrancy to the celebration.
