Former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has embarked on a vacation for rest and extended medical checks, according to a statement issued by his media adviser, Crusoe Osagie, on Wednesday. The exact location of the vacation has not been disclosed.
Mr Obaseki concluded his second term as governor on November 11, following eight years of service. He handed over the reins to Senator Monday Okpebholo, who has since assumed office as Edo State’s new governor.
In his message, the former governor extended heartfelt thanks to God and expressed deep gratitude to the people of Edo State for their support throughout his tenure. He offered prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in the state as well.
