The President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, Gabriel Idahosa, has called for enhanced business partnerships between Taiwan and Africa to deepen trade relations and foster innovation.
Speaking at the 2024 Taiwan-Africa Business Forum in Taiwan, Idahosa, represented by Ngozi Omambala, Chairperson of LCCI’s Creative and Entertainment Group, emphasised the potential for a shared future of prosperity and sustainability through stronger collaboration.
Mr Idahosa highlighted the impressive growth in trade between Taiwan and Africa in recent years, noting Nigeria’s position as Taiwan’s second-largest trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa. He credited the May 2024 Taiwan Trade Business Forum in Lagos with strengthening Taiwan’s economic footprint in the region.
The LCCI urged stakeholders to seize this momentum to build enduring partnerships.
