The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced that three key players from the Super Eagles will miss their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier against Rwanda.

The players confirmed to miss the clash which is scheduled for Monday, November 18, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo by 5 pm, include forward Ademola Lookman, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, and defender Ola Aina.

Ademola Lookman sustained a knock during the recent match against Benin, while goalkeeper Nwabali has been excused from the squad to attend to family matters following the death of his father.

Ola Aina has returned to Nottingham Forest at the club’s request to prepare for their crucial Premier League match against Arsenal.

Despite having already secured qualification for the tournament in Morocco after a 1-1 draw against Benin, Nigeria is determined to finish the group stage undefeated.
