The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has signed a N485 billion revised supplementary budget into law. The revised budget, passed by the Edo State House of Assembly, was signed on Monday at the Government House in Benin City, following its presentation before the House last Wednesday.
Speaking during the signing, Governor Okpebholo expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for their swift action, emphasising that it would allow the state government to promptly implement its development plans. He commended the legislators for their dedication to the state’s progress.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, who led the legislative delegation to the Government House, explained that the speedy passage of the budget was driven by the need to ensure the government commences its projects without delay.
