Nigeria’s Yellow-Greens have secured a place in Africa’s regional qualifier for the 2025 ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup after an impressive performance at the sub-regional Africa qualifier C held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
The team earned one of the top two spots after defeating Sierra Leone by 29 runs, continuing their unbeaten run in the tournament. Earlier victories against St Helena, Côte d’Ivoire, and Eswatini cemented their dominance in the qualifiers.
Alongside Nigeria, Botswana also qualified for the next stage. The two teams are set to face each other in the final match of the sub-regional Africa qualifier C on Thursday.

Stephen Tikolo, head coach of the Yellow-Greens, expressed confidence in his team’s ability to maintain their strong form and finish the tournament on a high note.
