Funke Akindele, celebrated Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has once again proven her star power with her latest cinematic triumph, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’.
The film set a new benchmark in Nigerian cinema by grossing an unprecedented ₦87.8 million in a single day, the highest ever recorded in the industry’s history. It also drew an impressive 38,353 admissions during its opening weekend, making it the most-watched debut of 2024.

Released in cinemas nationwide and internationally on December 13, the movie has already begun making waves abroad. In the United Kingdom, the film achieved a remarkable feat, selling out two screens ahead of its official UK premiere on December 20—a significant milestone for Nollywood on the global stage.
With plans to screen in over 30 countries across six continents, including the United States, Canada, the UK, and several African nations, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ is set to solidify Nigerian cinema’s position in the global arena.
