The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has assured that the 2025 appropriation bill will be passed promptly by the National Assembly.
Addressing a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives on Wednesday during President Bola Tinubu’s presentation of the N49.7 trillion budget, Mr Abbas described the proposed estimates as ambitious but commended the president’s economic reforms.
The Speaker pledged the legislature’s full support for initiatives aimed at stabilising prices, boosting agricultural productivity, expanding infrastructure, and strengthening key sectors such as education, healthcare, and security.
