The mother of former Queen of Ooni of Ife, Naomi Silekunola, has cried out to Nigerians to come to her aid after her daughter was remanded in Agodi prison, over the stampede that led to the death of 35 minors in Ibadan last Wednesday.

She made the appeal in a short clip, as she declared her daughter’s innocence.

The former queen alongside the the owner of Agidigbo FM, Mr. Hamzat Oriyomi, and the Principal of Islamic School, Bashorun, Mr. Abdullahi Fasasi were arraigned on a four-count charge of conspiracy, acceleration of death, negligent acts causing harm, and failure to provide adequate security and medical facilities.
