The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has distributed farming inputs to 2,000 farmers in Niger State, as part of efforts to bolster dry season wheat farming.
The distribution, conducted under the 2024/2025 National Agricultural Growth Scheme and Agro-Pocket (NAGS-AP), took place in the Garafini and Swashi communities in Borgu. Speaking at the event, Musaku Emmanuel, who represented Ishaku Buba, the NAGS-AP National Project Officer, highlighted the scheme’s progress, noting that it covers 2,000 hectares of land employing mechanised farming techniques.
