10 Dead, 30 Injured in New Orleans Vehicle Attack

At least 10 people have died and 30 others injured after a vehicle ploughed into a crowd in New Orleans’ French Quarter early on New Year’s Day. The incident occurred at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Streets, a popular tourist district, during the New Year’s celebrations.

Emergency preparedness agency NOLA Ready confirmed the crash, while the FBI, now leading the investigation, has reportedly uncovered a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) at the scene. Despite the mayor describing the event as a “terrorist” attack, officials say there is no evidence supporting this claim so far.
