Burna Boy Fulfils $30,000 Promise to Alaba Market Phone Repairer

Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy has fulfilled his promise to Bethel Okechukwu, a phone repairer from Lagos’ Alaba Market. Mr Okechukwu, who once claimed familial ties to socialite Cubana Chief Priest, gained the singer’s attention after sharing his struggles.  

In a widely circulated video, Burna Boy pledged $30,000 to transform Mr Okechukwu’s life. The funds, Okechukwu revealed, will help establish a new shop, with a promise to keep the musician updated on his progress.

Taking to Instagram, an emotional Okechukwu thanked Burna Boy, describing the act as life-changing and urged Nigerians to celebrate the singer’s generosity.  

The gesture comes as Burna Boy continues to make headlines over his public feud with Cubana Chief Priest, adding another layer of intrigue to their ongoing dispute.
