Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called the judiciary the biggest threat to Nigeria’s democracy. Speaking at a national conference in Abuja on Monday, he expressed concern over what he described as judicial recklessness, which he believes has not been addressed despite proposed reforms.
Atiku was a panellist at the event, which focused on strengthening democracy in Nigeria. The conference, organised by various civil society groups, aimed to discuss the role of political parties and opposition in ensuring democratic integrity.
