The Federal Executive Council has approved the establishment of the Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation, with the government setting a target of $100 billion to boost the economy.
The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, stated on Monday that the new corporation would drive investment and development in Nigeria’s creative and tourism sectors through a public-private partnership model.

The initiative is expected to capitalise on Nigeria’s wealth of creative talent, integrating technology, culture, and tourism to strengthen the industry. It aims to provide the necessary infrastructure to support these sectors while generating significant economic value.
According to the minister, the corporation is projected to contribute at least $100 billion to GDP growth and create two million jobs, with a particular emphasis on opportunities for young people.
