Niger Tornadoes have been instructed to find an alternative venue for their home fixtures after the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) deemed the pitch at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna unfit for use.
The league’s decision follows an assessment that found the stadium failing to meet club licensing standards, with the playing surface in a particularly poor condition.

In response, the Minna-based club opted for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as a temporary home ground. However, the NPFL has also raised concerns over the state of the pitch there, stressing the need for urgent maintenance.
Niger Tornadoes will only be permitted to return to their Minna base once the pitch and associated facilities meet the required standards set by the league.
