The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has warned it will commence a nationwide strike if the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, fails to settle outstanding bridging claims amounting to N100 billion.
At a press briefing on Monday, the Gombe Depot Chairman of IPMAN, Abdul Ibrahim, stated that oil marketers had given the regulatory body a seven-day deadline to process the payments or risk a suspension of their services.

Mr Ibrahim, who urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing dispute between IPMAN and NMDPRA, also cited concerns over what he described as arbitrary levies imposed on marketers by the authority.
Bridging claims cover the cost of transporting petrol from depots to designated zones, ensuring uniform pump prices across the country.
