Nigerian disc jockey Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has spoken about the impact of her privileged background on her perspective of life.
In a post on X, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola acknowledged that growing up in wealth shielded her from many of life’s hardships, leaving her unaware of the daily struggles faced by others.

She noted that what she considers normal is an aspiration for many and emphasised the importance of recognising one’s privileges. Gratitude, she says, changes everything.
Cuppy, the second child in the Otedola family, has built a profile beyond music, gaining recognition for her philanthropic work and academic achievements. She holds degrees from King’s College London, New York University, Oxford University, and the London School of Economics.
