Investors on the Nigerian Exchange, NGX, traded 1.848 billion shares worth N51.387 billion in 63,090 deals last week, reflecting a decline from the previous week’s 2.001 billion shares valued at N49.486 billion in 70,853 deals.
The Financial Services sector dominated activity, accounting for 1.296 billion shares worth N26.914 billion in 29,140 transactions, representing 70.13% of total volume and 52.38% of value. The Services sector followed, with 129.443 million shares valued at N719.218 million in 3,657 deals, while the Consumer Goods sector recorded 116.696 million shares worth N4.185 billion in 7,452 transactions.

Market sentiment remained bearish, with the NGX All-Share Index falling by 0.62% to 107,821.39 points. Market capitalisation also declined to N67.193 trillion, reflecting cautious investor activity.
