A Federal High Court in Lagos has granted bail to Jude Okoye Chigozie, former manager of the defunct music duo P-Square, in a case of alleged fraud brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Mr Okoye, who is facing trial alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, pleaded not guilty to seven charges when he was arraigned on 26 February.

Justice Alexander Owoeye ruled that the charges were bailable, setting bail at N100 million with two sureties of the same sum. One of the sureties must own property within the court’s jurisdiction. Okoye is also required to notify the EFCC before travelling outside the jurisdiction.
The case, which forms part of the EFCC’s wider crackdown on financial crimes in the entertainment industry, has been adjourned until 14 April.
